Susan Holthaus is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her undergraduate degree, and master’s degree in social work, from Asbury University in Kentucky. She has provided therapy for children and parents, adolescents, and the adult population in a range of settings addressing such issues as: bonding and attachment, behavior and mental health of children, abuse and trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, grandparents in a parent role, and women’s issues. Susan regards the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client as support that is needed to work through challenging life transitions. Susan endorses the uniqueness and validity of each person’s life experience. Susan utilizes therapeutic interventions that address the whole person’s well-being, including psychological, physical, social, and spiritual aspects. Her special interests include: domestic violence, learning disorders, parenting, personality development, and goal setting.
